Oakland International Airport (OAK) is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, just south of downtown Oakland. The airport has been in operation since 1934 and currently serves as a major hub for Southwest Airlines and is the main terminal for the United Airlines network. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the largest and busiest airport in California, and the seventeenth busiest in the United States. The airport is located in San Francisco Bay and has three runways. It serves as a major international gateway to the United States, with flights to over 180 countries. SFO is also a major hub for Southwest Airlines.

Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) is the only airport located in Silicon Valley, California and serves San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland. SJC is a major international gateway for air travel to Northern California and the Bay Area. The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights.
